Open Question: tecnica nylon moon boots??
where would i find some and what do the prices run i went to the tecnica website but i cant find the price
Open Question: Lots of questions! =]?
Quite a few questions here.. 1) Supplements..I guess is what they'd be considered? Anyway, your opinion/ experience with flax seed, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and black oil sunflower seeds? What is a good combination of these and how much of each would you feed? 2) Sturdy halter: I was looking for a halter which is not too expensive for the Percheron I'm getting soon and he's very tuggy on his halter so I wanted a very sturdy one which is also big enough for him obviously. Would you suggest leather or nylon is it..? Or a nylon with a breakaway strap? Any suggestions would be amazing! 3) What type of feed? I believe he currently gets half a scoop of Safe and Sound feed and two flakes of coastal hay per meal? If anyone has any other suggestions that would be wonderful, especially if they're good mixed with he above add ins/supplements. 4) Cavaletti: For a horse new to cavaletti (Once he's used to ground poles and such) how high should these be set up? Also should the be set up as cross rails, verticals, or half cross rails? And how far apart to be walked over for a Percheron? 5) Show name: When I get him he will certainly need a show name! I was thinking about Wish Upon Kryptonite, Boy Scout Cookies, Hip Hop Anonymous, or Stud Muffin but any suggestions are welcome! (He is a big black 7yo Percheron gelding with a rather large star in the middle of his forehead and a curly docked tail) 6) Training?: Do you think he could break a martingale? I wanted to try a standing martingale for at least a few minus to keep him from tossing his head too much while training on the ground in a saddle or under saddle. 7) Tack colors: I was thinking black leather with red fabric (Ex. Black saddle with red pad? Yes, he is a true black) 8) Any suggestions to keep him from getting sun bleached other than Black as Knight? He is currently a very nice black while out in his paddock all day and no exercise. I've heard exercise bleaches their coat? 8) Do you know any good treat recipes? I wanted to make my own as I really don't have anything better to do at the moment.. Also any good/healthy treats that aren't fattening as he's a bit overweight currently.. Thanks in advance! 10) sorry I forgot about this one...Stud chain! I've never handled him without one but I'm considering either having two leads, on with a stud one without and having both attached to his halter at the same time. I'd use the regular to tie him to whatever I needed him tied to and for when he's being good and only using the stud when he's being very very pushy, or maybe not even attaching a halter to the stud, just leaving it attached to the halter? Or should I just stick with the stud only? Also, if I ever do lunge him, should I have a stud on the lunge line or just a regular lunge line?
